Show Notes

I’m Dr. Kevin Payne and the Your Life Lived Well podcast is back for Season 4.

We went silent for a while because…well, I lost my voice. Multiple sclerosis can be frustrating. Over a year ago, I was stricken with dysphonia.

It’s really hard to podcast when you can’t speak. But I’ve been through a lot with MS, and this was just the next challenge.

Season 4 debuts on Thursday, January 4th. Open your favorite podcast app right now and subscribe!

How do you live a good life if you’re faced with something truly awful you can’t outrun? Over half of us live with at least one lasting health condition. Medicine doesn’t have a cure or our illnesses wouldn’t be chronic. The system isn’t built for us. We can’t play by the “normal” rules. Yet these are the lives we’ve got — and we still need to built the best lives possible. I’m Dr. Kevin Payne and the Your Life Lived Well podcast is back for Season 4. We’ve had an enforced hiatus. We went silent for a while because…well, I lost my voice. Multiple sclerosis can be frustrating. I hadn’t had a new symptom for a long time. But over a year ago, as we were just getting noticed, I was stricken with dysphonia. It’s really hard to podcast when you can’t speak. But I’ve been through a lot with MS, and this was just the next challenge. So after months of vocal rehab, my voice isn’t what it once was, but it’s good enough! Season 4 debuts on Thursday, January 4th. New episodes drop at 7 AM Eastern every Thursday. We begin with 12 “best of” episodes. But they’re not just retreads. We’ve culled the best highlights and I’ve recorded additional material to make each one better. And with our April 4th episode, we’ll alternate between one where I’m explaining some science that will help you live better, followed by the next where I’ll be joined by someone i admire for a conversation. In each episode, we focus on something you can do to actually improve your quality of live and health: tackling our behaviors, thoughts, feelings, mindset, relationships, resources, or environments. We help others understand the true challenges we face and what will really help us. And we don’t forget the challenges of loved ones, caregivers, and health professionals. We’re all in this together, and none of us has an easy road. So open your favorite podcast app right now and subscribe to Your Life Lived Well and you’ll never miss an episode! Then bookmark us at YourLifeLivedWell.co to see what else we’ve got going on. We are so grateful to be back and we’re excited you’re coming along on the journey. Remember, we may have a diagnosis, but it’s not a life sentence. We can still live well.
